It’s embarrassing to admit, but iMovers removalists are not only excellent interstate removalists but they are practicing Seagull’s too. Let me explain……..
We advised one of our clients to have a garage sale to sell unwanted goods prior to her interstate furniture removal to Melbourne, besides making some quick cash she would save a significant amount of money by not relocating items interstate she no longer wanted.
The client had some trouble selling some of her goods though, so she called us and asked if we had any other suggestions to rid her of these burden items. We told her we could bring her stuff to our depot and see if anyone wanted it. It only took 15 minutes for the word to get around our trucks about the free furniture being given away. By the end of the day every item was snapped up like a dropped piece of bread at the beach.
Our client was happy and our removalists were happy. Infact the only one that wasn’t happy was our general manager who was going to make firewood out of one of the old wardrobes if it didn’t get taken. He missed out!

The other day a client came to visit us in our office, he wanted to speak with our main man Ben about his upcoming Interstate relocation to Hawthorn, Melbourne. Our client only spent 5 minutes in our office before he said “ My god, there is never a dull moment in this place”. What he was referring to was how busy our team were processing our important clients removals, we have had an extremely busy few months and our efficiency is second to none when it comes to our main engine, the office staff. This same client (who remains unnamed because I didn’t ask for his permission to write about him) called us a few days after his move was completed to compliment us that the removalists were just as efficient as what he witnessed in our office staff a few weeks prior. Its great when we a client gets to see the whole operation because they can get an idea of how much hard work goes into making their interstate removal successful.

Warracknabeal is small town in Victoria that is situated 330 kms North West of Melbourne and 58 kms North of Horsham. It only has a population of approximately 2500 people. I was reading a post the other day by a journalist stating that the recent floods were expected to reach a 1 in 200 years flood peak level, this peak would threaten 140 of the houses in the little town. Why is it that I hear this term thrown around more and more these days “one in one hundred year floods” “one in two hundred year floods”. Does anybody reading this think that it is possible that it will be the year 2200 before we see another one this high. How many times have you heard it said in the last 10 years. I think it is a term used very loosely and it should just be replaced with “damn high flood levels that are damaging and dangerous”. Its more accurate and cuts to the chase.

if you are thinking about moving to Victoria…….try Warrnambool. They have a great little thing going there. We moved a client from Albury to Warrnambool a few weeks ago and our removalists had an opportunity to spend the night there. The town was founded in the 1840′s and has a current population of approximately 30000 people. The main attractions are whake watching, fishing and diving the miriad of shipwrecks off shore or if you love cheese you could visit Allansford Cheese Factory. There is great food and wine in the region and an overall great, friendly feeling in the town. Our client moved there for the fishing and retirement and seemed very happy with his choice. Remember if you are moving there call the interstate removalists with the experince of your future home town.

Every time our Interstate removalists travel to Melbourne, we get more and more reports to start thinking about more efficient systems for apartment moving. Its always been a difficult system for inner city and dense suburb moving because truck parking can be tricky, access in and out of the buildings can also be tricky and then there is the stairs and elevators to deal with. The way Melbourne is going up literally, we need to strongly consider some new techniques for moving apartments.

There is a little town called Castlemaine that needs no introduction when it comes to small goods. It is surrounded b y towns the likes of Bendigo, Ballarat, Seymour, Maryborough, Kyneton and so on. It has been earmarked as a geothermal energy hotspot and potential spot for growth in the future. Only 7000 people live there currently but I think you’re going to see that number rise significantly over the next decade. The interstate removalists costs are about the same as Geelong, Bendigo or Ballarat. There is a small deviation out of Melbourne your goods have travelled by rail, if by truck you may be lucky and get a truck already heading north out of Melbourne with another load but ballpark you can count on approximately $1800 to $2200 for a average 2 bedroom place from Adelaide or Sydney, ad another $200 – $300 travelling from the Gold coast or Brisbane. We will return to Victorian regional centers in a few weeks. See the next post for a handy tip from iMovers on moving interstate.

It is amazing to see so many people deciding to call Melbourne, Victoria home. We have noticed a surge in people moving there from all over Australia and needing the services of first class but affordable interstate removalists like iMovers. It seems that such a large growing city like Melbourne has an ever growing appeal to the people of Australia and I personally cant see and end to this trend in a hurry. If you are moving to Melbourne from Brisbane, or from Sydney or even Adelaide dont hesitate to call the company that is growing too…..iMovers

It seems that our country still has money to spend when it comes to the festive season, interstate removalists have gone nuts in the last 2 weeks. When xmas comes we can always count on a strong finish to the year but this year I personally was sceptical with the way the economy is going but I was wrong, people in Melbourne especially seem to want to move before xmas, maybe to show off their new house to their family.

Moving from Adelaide to Melbourne is easy!
It can be done easily in a few days, load one day, generally Fridays. Drive to Melbourne on the Saturday and depending on your urgency and the size of your job, unload on the Saturday afternoon or the Sunday morning, you could even unload your beds, and essentials box on the Saturday afternoon to sleep in your new house and avoid a Hotel stay fee and unload the rest the Sunday morning. The choice is yours when dealing with fantastic Interstate Removalists like iMovers.
