There is a little town called Castlemaine that needs no introduction when it comes to small goods. It is surrounded b y towns the likes of Bendigo, Ballarat, Seymour, Maryborough, Kyneton and so on. It has been earmarked as a geothermal energy hotspot and potential spot for growth in the future. Only 7000 people live there currently but I think you’re going to see that number rise significantly over the next decade. The interstate removalists costs are about the same as Geelong, Bendigo or Ballarat. There is a small deviation out of Melbourne your goods have travelled by rail, if by truck you may be lucky and get a truck already heading north out of Melbourne with another load but ballpark you can count on approximately $1800 to $2200 for a average 2 bedroom place from Adelaide or Sydney, ad another $200 – $300 travelling from the Gold coast or Brisbane. We will return to Victorian regional centers in a few weeks. See the next post for a handy tip from iMovers on moving interstate.
